In Lahore, prostitution is illegal and those caught engaging in the activity can face serious penalties from both law enforcement and the courts. According to Section 294 of Pakistan Penal Code, anyone found guilty of soliciting or paying for sexual services can be punished with imprisonment up to one year or a fine (or both). Additionally, individuals who are partaking in commercial sex work as well as those running brothels and organizing prostitution activities may also face legal repercussions including fines, jail time, or even deportation.
