Doxorubicin promoted chondrocyte apoptosis while PRP ameliorated this damage. PRP inhibited doxorubicin-induced dysregulation of cell matrix-related factors, including SOX9, Col2A1, Col10A1, and Aggrecan, reduced protein levels of doxorubicin-induced inflammatory markers, COX-2, and iNOS, and blocked doxorubicin-induced phosphorylation of IκB and NF-κB in articular chondrocytes. PRP improved doxorubicin-induced damage on chondrocytes. This research might provide a new theoretical basis for the clinical treatment
