Herein, we report an aggregation-induced emission (AIE) dye-powered SP afterglow luminogen by leveraging on the special characteristics of an AIE dye to circumvent the concentration-quenching effect, enhance afterglow power and prolong afterglow timeframe. The underlying working system is investigated by a few experiments and it is unearthed that the AIE dye provides sufficient 1O2 to stimulate SPs and form massive levels of high-energy intermediates, then the SP intermediates
