In many instances either from preliminary development or settling over time, the concrete slabs slope towards the wall which is a disaster for any home, adobe or frame. Successful systems have a low, 1-inch dam simply beyond the downspout to get the water to go down but in case of ice or leaf blockage the water goes up and over and out the canal. The stones break up the cascading water and scale back the splash back. Do you know of another solutions or recommendations for reducing the splash again and damage? Somewhere else I've seen massive flagstones lean
