In natural tissue, nanofibrils in extracellular matrix (ECM), such as collagen fibrils, direct cell migration through contacting guidance. The contacting nanofibers on cell-ECM interface are reorganized from curl fibers to straightened fibers. However, how these nanofibers regulate single cell migration remains obscure.
