Carbamazepine is an antiepileptic drug that is not easily degraded in the environment. In this study, the removal of carbamazepine, an emerging contaminant, dissolved in deionized water and wastewater matrices by means of their adsorption onto Humic Acid, Humasorb and Montmorillonite was investigated. The effect of various parameters including adsorption time, adsorbent dosage, and initial adsorbate concentration was determined. The optimum exposure time for the removal of carbamazepine by Humic Acid was 30 min and by Humasorb and Montmor
