Personality traits have been shown to contribute to the development and persistence of fibromyalgia (FM)-related symptoms. The aim of this study was to identify the most prevalent personality factor in Brazilian female FM patients, using the Factorial Personality Battery (FP and comparing patients to age-matched healthy controls. This was a cross-sectional study based on 40 FM patients and 40 age-matched controls. The FPB is a Brazilian self-reporting questionnaire based on the Big Five Inventory, containing 126 items and scored on a Likert scale.
