Strain CUG 91308T contained MK-7 as the major respiratory quinone. On the basis of phenotypic, genotypic and phylogenetic data, strain CUG 91308T represents a novel species of a novel genus in the family Cyclobacteriaceae, for which the name Lunatibacter salilacus gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed.
