We experimentally investigate characteristics of saturable absorbers (SAs) based on nonlinear Kerr beam cleanup effect (NL-KBC). The SAs are formed by a long graded-index multimode fiber (GRIN MMF) with a short single-mode fiber served as a diaphragm.
