Genetic deviation between two deep-sea snailfishes, Careproctus pellucidus from the Pacific Ocean and Careproctus rastrinus from the Okhotsk Sea, of the Careproctus rastrinus species complex was analyzed, based on the nucleotide sequences of the mitochondrial cytochrome b (Cytb) gene.
