The mass concentrations of PM2.5 were measured at a tropical megacity, Bengaluru, India, for the year 2015. The mean mass concentrations showed large fluctuations on day to day basis with values less than the Indian National Ambient Air Quality Standard (INAAQS) of 60 µg m-3. The observed annual mean mass concentration of 28 ± 11 µg m-3 is also within the INAAQS value of 40 µg m-3. The diurnal trend of PM2.5 concentration showed bimodal distribution, with the primary peak in the morning and the secondary one during the late evening hou
