A new species of the parasitic isopod genus Epicepon Nierstrasz Brender à Brandis, 1931 (Isopoda Bopyridae) found parasitizing the cyclodorippoid crab host Tymolus hirtipes Tan Huang, 2000 is described from New Caledonia.
