The Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area of NiO/CuO (0.90.1 M) catalyst occupies higher surface area. Unfortunately, NiO/CuO (0.50.5 M) sample has lower surface area due to the agglomerated particles. The UV-vis spectra confirmed that the absorption of the catalyst lies in higher wavelength region occupying small band gap. Moreover, the visible light activity of the catalysts showed 75.3% (0.90.1 M) and 40.2% (0.50.5 M) degrading efficiencies.
