A single-longitudinal-mode HoYAG laser with a twisted-mode cavity under the continuous-wave and pulsed operation was demonstrated. The maximum continuous-wave single-longitudinal-mode output power of 0.76 W was obtained at the wavelength of 2097.46 nm, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 28.9%. The output wavelength was tuned from 2096.94 nm to 2098.48 nm by utilizing a 0.5-mm-thick etalon.
