Among first-generation participants, all groups, except the Moroccans, had a significantly higher proportion of individuals with a cagA + H. pylori strain compared to the Dutch participants. CONCLUSION Helicobacter pylori seroprevalence among first-generation migrants is high in the Netherlands and remains elevated among second-generation migrants (ie, those born in the Netherlands).
