Objective To explore the role of closed extension tube in preventing airway leakage during artificial airway clearance. Methods The test lung was connected with a ventilator for mechanical ventilation. The pressure parameters were set as 16/5, 20/6, 24/7, 28/8, 32/9 and 36/10 cmH2O(1 cmH2O=0.098 kPa), respectively.
