Item Upgrade in World of Warcraft Item upgrade is a feature that allows players to raise the level of their weapons, armor and trinkets above what they can acquire from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. It requires crests and currency and can be completed at any NPC that upgrades items. Items with high requirements typically see increased value following upgrading (eth titans for instance) While items with low requirements typically have less value, as they are able to be rolled perfect regardless of upgrading.
