Patients retired due to CMT1A at the age of 43 ± 10 years. ONLS total score and physical work appeared as significant independent predictors of being incapable of working due to CMT1A. Patients incapable of working were almost four times more likely to have fatigue (OR = 3.7, 95% CI 1.0-13.1, p less then 0.05) and 11 times more likely to have fear of falling (OR = 11.0, 95% CI 2.0-59.7, p less then 0.01).
