Three rod-shaped, non-spore-forming, yellow or pale-yellow pigmented bacteria with distinct MALDI-TOF mass spectra were isolated from the phyllosphere of Arabidopsis thaliana seedlings. Their 16S rRNA gene sequences demonstrated that these isolates belong to the genus Pedobacter.
