We present a patient with post-infarction posterior ventricular septal defect complicated by cardiogenic shock who was transferred after percutaneous coronary revascularization. A peripheral venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenator was placed as a bridge to definite treatment to stabilize his condition.
