Emotional intelligence (EI) includes skills such as recognizing, understanding, and managing emotions. This pilot study investigated the utility of the Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test Version 2.0 as a screening instrument in student registered nurse anesthetists by determining if EI predicted clinical performance.
