Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) patients have a high incidence of atrial fibrillation (AF) and increased stroke risk, even with low CHA DS -VASc (congestive heart failure, hypertension, age diabetes, previous stroke/transient ischemic attack) scores.
