The Los Angeles International Airport, or LAX, has nine passenger terminals and was designed in a "horseshoe" configuration. Connecting passengers can access Terminals 5, 6, 7, and 8 without having to go through security again thanks to an underground tunnel connecting Terminals 5 and 6 and above-ground walkways connecting Terminals 6, 7, and 8.
