This study compared the effect of levetiracetam (LEV) as monotherapy to sodium valproate (VPA) as monotherapy on cognitive functions in patients with epilepsy. This was a comparative prospective study on 50 patients with newly diagnosed epilepsy started on antiseizure medications.
