The mitotic index of the A. cepa cells that grew up in the soil amended with Fe/BC and APTES/SiBC were 40.47 and 44.45%, respectively, higher than the controlled study. The results indicated that the incorporation of the Fe and APTES biochar composites in the soil effectively reduced the metal toxicity and improved the soil physicochemical properties.
