Three approaches were investigated using trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) in chloroform, viz. (i) combining crude TO and furfuryl alcohol, (ii) combining methyl α-eleostearate and furfuryl alcohol, and (iii) polymerizing furfuryl α-eleostearate itself.
