G-banding was performed on each one of these species. Relative chromosome paint and G-banding results suggested that a minumum of one interchromosomal and lots of intrachromosomal rearrangements had took place the variation of Columbidae types. On the other hand, a top level of preservation of microchromosome company was seen in these types. Our cladistic evaluation, considering all of the chromosome rearrangements detected, provided strong help for L. verreauxi and P. cayennensi
