EA Sports marks the retirement of Mut 22 coins NFL legend Tom Brady by raising the cover star rating of Madden NFL 22 to the highest possible rating in the game 99. This is the second time during the NFL season Brady will be sporting an OVR of 99. He did this when Brady was first elevated to 99. In October, Brady set the record for the all-time career record.

Brady was first introduced to his first season in the NFL in 2001, with an OVR of 57, and his score has improved over the years due to his performance on the field, primarily playing for players from the New England Patriots and eventually the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady also achieved his OVR at 99 Madden 09 as well as Madden 12, Madden 12, Madden 18, Madden 19, and Madden 22.

Brady's final season with the Buccaneers was among his best passing stats. Brady led the NFL for touchdown passes (43) and total yards passing (5,316).
