  • Pay 1099 Vendors/Contractors through bank transfer (ACH) or paper check.
  • Everything can be found conveniently in the desktop app. No need to switch between separate products.
  • There is no monthly subscription fee (though there is a certain transaction fee) 

To sign up for the QuickBooks Online Bill Paying feature, look for the option within your QuickBooks Online account or visit the site directly.

All Administrators (Primary and Company both) are authorized to use the QuickBooks Online Bill Paying feature. Each administrator has to verify the identity before proceeding further.

 

Using the QuickBooks Online Bill Paying 

To pay your bills:

  1. Sign in to the QuickBooks Online account, then select + New.
  2. Now click on Pay Bills Online.
  3. Put a tick on the checkbox before the bills you want to pay, then click on Next.
  4. Recheck the payment info. If there is a need to make updates, select Edit details.
  5. Click on the Submit payment option to submit your scheduled payments. 

To remove payments

  1. Click on the small arrow icon, found next to Edit details.
  2. Select Remove payment, then click on X.
  3. When the message appears, select Yes to remove the payment. 

Procedure to Manage Bills

  1. Go to the Pay Bills Online screen, then go to the Unpaid bills tab.
  2. View and select the bills that are to be paid.
  3. From here, you can Edit payment amounts and process dates;
  4. You can also review and submit payments, remove bills you don't want to pay through Bill Pay, and set up bank transfers for your Vendors. 

What to Do if QuickBooks Online Bill Paying Doesn’t Work?

  • Open a new window on your browser and try to pay the bill.
  • Clear the browser’s cache, and history, and log out of other sites.
  • Launch QuickBooks, go to Help Quickbooks Desktop Help F1
  • Click on the Contact Us button to get in touch with QuickBooks Support

Why are the initial payments taking longer than expected?

When starting with QuickBooks Online Bill Paying, allow at least four banking days for both bank transfers and mailed checks. After five completed payments, the timing will accelerate. 

When does the vendor receive the payment?

It depends on the payment type. It can take up to five banking days for the vendor to receive the payment.
