It took me years to learn my face shape, what color makes me prettier, how much to apply, and how to apply it to make it look beautiful and natural. But, I think I've finally perfected my morning routine!

You also don't have to spend hours doing it. Once you get the hang of it, you'll see how much makeup can accentuate your best features and hide less popular ones. Here are some makeup tips and tricks you wish you knew a long, long time ago!

In order to apply blush where it suits you best, first determine your face shape with the best beauty products. Blush not only adds color, but also outlines and defines cheekbones. Apply your blush in a way that accentuates your best features and softens those that might be too prominent.

Most of us tend to just apply a single layer of concealer to the entire under-eye area, but to really cover eye bags, it's best to highlight the crease first, then apply a darker shade to the actual puffy area.

When trying to create a naturally beautiful eye makeup, the placement of the highlights is very important. Lighter colors (white, cream, and pearl) should be applied to the inner corners, mid-eye and under the brow bone. Apply the lightest color first, then the darker color. Be sure to mix it up!
How to Fix Clumped Mascara

Let's face it, this happens with every tube of mascara over time. The problem is that it dries out and then starts to form unattractive bumps. To help prevent this, don't pump mascara in an attempt to get your wand to suck in more; you're basically pumping air into the tube, which dries it faster.

Although mascara should be changed every 3 to 4 months, I used to change mascara often because it dries too fast and doesn't work well. However, there is an easy fix! Add a drop or two of Visine (or any brand of eye drops) to the tube and rub it with your wand. Visine softens liquid mascara to apply like a brand new tube!
