The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft The War Within introduced Valorstones, and Harbinger Crests as two currencies for upgrading equipment. These can be exchanged at the NPCs who upgrade items, Cuzolth and Vaskarn. Each item can be upgraded to its highest level for a specific slot at a time.
